Resulting in best practice of community integration, from five exemplary schools between Rochdale, Telford and Blackpool, being shared with around 80 representatives from schools, government offices and departments, and private sector businesses that travelled from all over the UK to participate on the tour

I also have to applaud the SSAT members who organised an excellently managed tour throughout the whole three days.

I wish you all every success in the future.

Ken Walsh and Mike Dinsdale summed up all our feelings on this specific and very special visit .

Neil Wilson and his team of staff and students ,from both the main secondary site and the 3 associated primary schools ,gave us the warmest of welcomes .

We were still on a part building site but this did not affect the enthusiasm and obvious success enjoyed by all those associated with this school at the very heart of all its community .

They were all there - parents , students past and present , governors , learning mentors , support staff , multiagency teams from the PCT and social services , it was quite enlightening for all of us and clearly well led from the top .

The facilities new and refurbished stand out as value for money and the external areas were again both functional and well planned .

Certainly one of the most deserving of all the FV visited schools for this award .

There are so many positive things that we are taking away from both the evening and morning visits to Newall Green. I was impressed and moved by the genuine involvement and enthusiasm of the students, the staff, the parents and the business community. The parents who are learning mentors are key to the family support, to effective transition from primary schools and to giving all parents the confidence to come into school for help when they need it. The 3-day residentials for the whole school at the start of each school year were described by students as real life changing experiences.
Many thanks for sharing these and many other things with us.
